Stop in soon for best selection but here are some buying tips for diamond studs.

Diamond Studs are an essential item to any jewelry box. They’re a versatile and elegant choice equally appropriate worn day or night at the office or an evening out. While most common is round diamonds, fancy cut stud earrings like princess, oval, cushion, radiant, and pear are a fresh take on this classic style.

Most common settings found are the four-prong basket setting. These are classic and diamond is set low in the basket, so the metal sits flat on the ear.

A martini setting generally has three prongs but can be found in four-prong as well. The setting is narrow at the bottom and allows the diamond to sit closer to your ears than other settings such as the basket settings. The low profile reveals less metal allowing your diamonds to shine!

Both the martini and the basket setting are a classic take and will show off your diamond. If you want added sparkle, you can always choose a halo setting. A halo setting will provide bigger looks at a lower carat weight. More Sparkle for your money with a halo.

You will always to make sure that your earrings have secure backs - no one want to lose an earring! The most common earring backs are the push backs or friction backs. They are found on most earrings but do not have any locking mechanism to keep them on your ears. They are also screw backs, but sensitive ears Beware!! They have thicker post and are labor intensive to put on or remove. We love the locking back system provided here at The Diamond Shop. They’re popular because they’re secure and uncomplicated to put in or remove. Ask an Associate about them. They can be added to almost any current precious metal earrings.
